Elana’s Blessings is a non-profit dedicated to improving the self-esteem and quality of life of women battling cancer. Co-founded by siblings Dave Segen and Jessica Segen Hinkler, Elana’s Blessings came about after losing their mother, Elana, from cancer in 2014.
Throughout her cancer journey, Elana focused on her appearance as a way to combat the external effects of her illness. Whether going to a party, to work, to treatment, or to a doctor’s appointment, she always took the extra time to get ready. As a result, few people even knew she was sick.
Elana’s Blessings helps women facing this battle look and feel their best by providing a day of pampering, including a wig consultation, manicure, massage, or facial treatment. These beauty sessions offer women support, confidence, courage, and community.
Anyone can nominate a woman for a Pamper Package. Recipients will be given a gift card to a partner salon for a special day away from the medical appointments, treatments, and stress that this disease brings.
